Meet Dr. Steven Oxner
As a native Memphian, Dr. Steven Oxner grew up only one stoplight away from the office. He attended Christ Methodist Day School, White Station High School, Mississippi College, and The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery.
He and his wife, Abbey, first met during his third year of dental school while they were both attending Collierville First Baptist Church. Ten years later, they have four children ranging from 7 years to 9 months old. Similar to the Waddells, they have chosen the great challenge and adventure of homeschooling their sweet kiddos. In their free time, the Oxners love to go on long walks and read as a family. Abbey loves to bake, and Dr. Oxner enjoys home renovation projects.
The Oxners are active members of Living Hope Church in Piperton, TN. Dr. Oxner and Abbey have always considered their profession to be a component of their ministry as a couple. They feel a great responsibility to nurture the culture established by the Waddells through a continued commitment to high quality dental care. They want Healthy Smiles to be a joyful environment where you feel both valued and comfortable.
From routine oral hygiene and restorative procedures to emergency intervention and cosmetic therapies, it would be Dr. Oxner’s honor to care for all your dental needs. His goal is to maintain the practice’s family-centered atmosphere by staying true to the central values that have made this office such a local treasure.

Joella Waddell
Joella is the wife of Dr. Waddell and has worked in the office full time since 2007. She has an accounting background that makes her a good fit for the front desk and managing the office.
